Pakistan Babar Azam will play cricket again after two months on Wednesday, August 21. He will play the first Test match against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi. Babar has a chance to make history in this match. If he scores enough runs, he will become the first Pakistani and the third player in the world to score 4000 runs in all three forms of cricket: Test, ODI and T20.
Babar Azam started playing international cricket for Pakistan in 2015, so far he has played 52 Test matches and scored 3898 runs. He needs 102 more runs to reach 4000 runs in Test cricket.
Babar Azam has also played well in other styles of cricket. He has scored 5729 runs in 117 ODI matches and 4145 runs in 123 T20 matches for Pakistan.
Former India captain Virat Kohli was the first player to score 4000 runs in all three styles of cricket. He did this during the T20 World Cup match against England in 2022.
Virat has scored a lot of runs in his career: 8848 runs in Tests, 13906 runs in ODIs, and 4188 runs in T20.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma also achieved this feat, Virat Kohli joined the list. He said this during the T20 World Cup match between India and Ireland in New York on June 5. In his career, Rohit scored 4137 runs in 59 Tests, 10,866 runs in 265 ODIs and 4231 runs in 159 T20.

Babar Azam will bat at number four in the first Test match. On behalf of Pakistan, Saeem Ayub and Abdullah Shafiq will open the batting and captain Shaan Masood will bat at number three.
Pakistan has selected Muhammad Rizwan as the wicket-keeper batsman in place of Sarfraz Ahmed. Shaheen Shah Afridi will lead the fast bowlers of the team.
