Pakistan has announced its playing XI for the first Test match against Bangladesh starting from August 21 in Rawalpindi. Shaan Masood will lead the Pakistani team in the home series for the first time.
Shaan Masood will be joined by Saud Shakeel, Abdullah Shafiq and the very good batsman Babar Azam. He will strengthen the team's batting.
The team fast bowlers are led by Shaheen Shah Afridi. Muhammad Ali, Naseem Shah and new player Khurram Shahzad will also be part of the fast bowling attack. Mohammad Rizwan who is a good batsman and wicket keeper has also been selected. Salman Agha who can bat and bowl will be the only spinner in the team.
It is worth noting that this will be Jason Gillespie's first match as the head coach of the Pakistan cricket team.
